BioSciences Foundation of India (BSFIndia) is a Non-Governmental Organization based in Pune and aims at catalyzing the spread of Biosciences education in India.
India is a leader in information technology and now it aims to become a major global player in the area of Biosciences/Biotechnology. But in order to sustain in this dynamic era, there is an urgent requirement of super-trained manpower. To achieve this goal, systematic efforts are required to deliver highest quality education to graduating students/young researchers which will equip them to meet the high global standards of research and development, industrial challenges and corporate competence.
At BioSciences Foundation of India (BSFIndia), we will thrive to catalyze seamless spread of the highest quality Biosciences/Biotechnology education among Indian youth. BSFIndia’s mandate also includes promotion of Biosciences/Biotechnology in Indian community by emphasizing its immense potential to solve human health, food, and environmental challenges. BSFIndia is solely guided by the mission “To Make India World’s Biosciences Hub”. At BSFIndia, we have created a “Vision Group” which has representatives from industry, academia, media and government sector each recognizing the strengths of other sectors and the value of working together. BSFIndia’s “Board of Trustees” and “Honorary Advisory Board” has distinguished members from all the four sectors and this “Vision Group” will strive for fulfilling the following aims and objective.
To encourage Indian youngsters towards field of Biosciences/ Biotechnology by instituting performance based awards and scholarships.
- To evaluate and standardize Indian traditional medicines/formulations using latest concepts and techniques in area of immunology, virology and cell biology.
- To establish training centers for economically and socially backward community students, who are unable to afford the normal education programs.
- E-learning, advancement & propagation of Bioscience/Biotechnology education in India.
- To promote various governmental policies for improving the quality of education / scientific knowledge / research aptitudes.
- Organizing workshops, meetings, lectures, discussions, seminars, Symposia and Conferences for promoting scientific interactions and collaborative research projects.
